About This Site

For many years I have enjoyed writing humorous articles, although I often didn’t know what to do with them! This blog, birthed 9/22/07, will be a sampling of my attempt at humorous and satirical ramblings on church, theological, social and political issues.

Some of these posts are based on actual experiences in 30 years of ministry. If so identities may be obscured a bit to protect any potentially identifiable individual.

Some posts are sheer satire. It is so important that readers understand the nature of satire. Here’s a good definition.

Periodically I expect to share a story I come across written and experienced by others.

The blog title is based on 2 Corinthians 11:1 where the Apostle Paul writes, “I wish that you would bear with me in a little foolishness; but indeed you are bearing with me.” He follows with what many Bible commentators consider to be satire and sarcasm in making his point. Some will appreciate satirical humor, others won’t. Our main site is dailyencouragement, which my wife Brooksyne and I work on together. You can read more about us here. Enjoy and smile!

  2. I wasn’t sure if this site provides a regular new edition or whether it is updated as new material becomes available.
